Things to Do in North Conway

The White Mountains are known for their wide variety of winter sports options. From your North Conway accommodations, you can travel all over Northern New Hampshire to different mountains for some of the best skiing on the East Coast. Nearby ski resorts include Attitash, Cranmore Mountain Resort, and Wildcat Mountain.

The area around North Conway is also popular during the summer months. Cathedral Ledge is a favorite among rock climbers, as are the many trails throughout the White Mountain National Forest. Intrepid adventurers can set out to climb some of New Hampshire’s 48 Four Thousand Footers, a group of mountains that rise 4,000 feet above sea level. This group includes New Hampshire’s tallest mountain, Mt. Washington, which is one of the largest East of the Rockies.

Though the ocean is many miles away, people still seek out North Conway for its water sports. The many lakes in the area are perfect for swimming, waterskiing, windsurfing, and more. Kayakers and white water rafters will find exactly what they need along the Saco River.
